Mary Schaeffer is Vice President and Controller for Knapp Properties, L.C. She currently manages the accounting department and oversees human resources and payroll.
After earning her Business Administration Degree in Finance with an emphasis in real estate from Iowa State University. She began her career with Coldwell Banker at their corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. In 1989, she assisted with the startup of Excel Management Company in Beverly Hills, CA. In 1994, Mary moved back to Iowa and joined Knapp Properties in various roles including accounting/risk manager and now as Vice President and Controller.
She utilizes her expertise in all aspects of operational insurance for Knapp Properties while working closely with clients to address their specific insurance and accounting needs.
Mary coordinates Knapp Properties’ United Way Campaign and leads the Volunteer Committee.
